What I am thankful for today….
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
On this beautiful morning in NYC, I am taking a few minutes this morning to write out what I am thankful for:
My intelligent, unique, adventurous, whacky husband and sons. They are truly amazing humans, and I love them so much. We have had SO many adventures together! Rock climbing, repelling, white water rafting, hiking, mountain biking, zip lining…I can go on and on! They are always up for the next adventure together, which makes me so happy! We have so much fun when we are all together!!
The knowledge that I have gained over the last three years with my life coach. The fact that I am the one that determines the results in my life has been astounding. I don’t have to give my power away to other people and circumstances…the power is in me!! Mind-blowing!!
With my strong will and determination, I recognize what I want and know it is my right to go for it! I have fought for many things in my life, and most of the time, I get what I fight for.
My strong body! It has borne two huge babies! It has run many half marathons and mud runs, pushed through a sprint triathlon, and has been tested in so many ways, and it keeps showing up for me!
My physical surroundings. I have everything I need…a roof over my head, food in my belly, warm clothes, comfy furniture…my Mini Cooper. I truly appreciate all of it!!
Our bearded dragon, Mr. Lizard. He is the funniest, cutest little creature. He makes me laugh every day, and he is a good listener; I am constantly talking to him. He loves to be held, but he also loves to sit on his perch and stare out the window.
My extended family and my friends. My family is not big, and I don’t have tons of friends, and that is fine by me. I know they all love me, and I can depend on every one of them. I don’t need to see or talk to them every day, but we can always pick up where we left off when we can.
My ability to admit my mistakes. I don’t try to be perfect. First of all, it is impossible. No one is perfect; we aren’t meant to be. And, besides…it would be boring to be perfect! We grow by making mistakes and learning from them..that is so important!
I could go on and on, but these are the first things that popped into my mind. I am genuinely thankful for the life that I have, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
I hope you take the time today to write the things you are most thankful for. I hope you take the time today to honor yourself and love yourself.
I hope you have the most fantastic Thanksgiving Day ever!
